Despite a partial failure in the previous launch, the low-power repair job is back. At this point, this rocket definitely has more fabricated parts than parts original to the kit. I was fortunate to recover a perfect-sized nosecone from a tree when looking for the fallen body. The rest was constructed from desktop parts: rubber bands, duct tape, and a plastic grocery bag. It turns out that the material makes for a tight fit, so the final verdict will be made upon launch. The biggest worry is rupturing the body tube with the ejection charge–maintaining components should not be the issue.
