It’s been a while since I last posted here, which is admittedly a shame, but this blog seems to have gotten lost amidst a flood of other preoccupations for the past eight months. For the past year, I have been drawing up the designs, accumulating hardware, and prototyping engineering concepts for my Level 3 High Power Rocketry project, which I am dubbing Project Yellow Jacket. I hope to keep a build log going here to document the progress of the project for both the reader’s enjoyment and for having a compact collection of threads to prove my building methodology to the folks who sign the paperwork. In the meantime, I’ve included a rendering of Yellow Jacket, which despite flying on a hearty CTI M840 motor, will likely not punch a hole through the top of the ozone layer.
